By creating a one of a kind suite of apps for home repair and bringing customer and contractor closer, I helped usher in a new era of tech and AI-augmented approach to home repair with Stellar pro and Stellar scheduler.

The Challenge

Create a sophisticated set of products that can work in real time with the chaotic and messy world of home repair, permits, local laws, and human quirks. Avoid over-complication, augment human effort and create a delightful user experience for contractors, property managers, and schedulers that reduces costs, improves response time and overall business.

Through strategic planning, design thinking, continuous on-site UX testing and prototyping, I was able to evangelize contractor support across multiple sites, states and disciplines.

Employing this with a robust feedback loop and tangible improvements in UX and product innovation, the company made a quantum leap with its actual business improvements to both itself and contractors.

Stellar Scheduler Pro

Augmenting human effort with AI and revolutionizing home repair scheduling

Stellar Scheduler introduces LLMs for the first time in the domain of home repair. By automating and greatly reducing the time to generate schedules, permits and invoices, the product helps schedulers and staff achieve their quotas and perform at their best by taking away grunt work.

I employed design thinking strategies combined with portable UX standards used in previous projects to aim for continuous augmentation and automation of human effort. The software helped train the LLM to take over tasks, while allowing users to perform their own tasks successfully.

Improving Contractor income across disciplines

Stellar Pro allows contractors to accept work orders instantly.

Once the contractor allows at the site, the contractor can take notes, photos, add work line items, and more to create a full fledged repair case and estimate. All this can be done offline even without a network, so that work continues uninterrupted.

Calendars, work and pay history, pay schedules, multiple disciplines and more only add to the convenience and efficiency.
