Archived: JWO

JWO allows shoppers to shop as they normally do; nothing new is required. The system uses computer vision algorithms that use cameras throughout the store to automatically add up the items. Shoppers scan the code in on the mobile app on their way out, and the receipt arrives in the app.

Task

Create the most seamless checkout-free system that opens up the next generational leap for shopping experiences and removes obstacles for shoppers: making shopping delightful.

⬤ 01. Challenges

Annotation: The engine that powers JWO tech

The leadership suite and myself identified improvements to the annotation suite as the biggest area for competitive gains. Using the DOKR framework and applying
service design principles, I led the design and product teams in overhauling the annotation engine to a more efficient system.<BR>
The improvements resulted in more than 50% cost and time savings, and faster annotation due to lower error rate and user frustration and fatigue.
